Upon entering the project, there was no onboarding system in place to ensure the successful completion of my tasks, plus I was the only cinematic visual artist in the lighting department. Therefore, I began creating a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for processing documents, gathering all available information about their lighting processes, communicating with in-game lighters and other art departments, and documenting the necessary information to ensure new lighters had a smoother onboarding experience.
• The value I brought to this project was improving lighting tools, new workflows and processes, and a documentation system.
• Additionally, I lit most of the cinematic and marketing scenes. By doing all of this, the game had a successful launch.

Defiance, the game, was a unique project mainly because there was a sci-fi show with the same name. With this information, there wasn't any need to do separate research or development, so my value came from connecting the game's lighting aesthetic to the show.
From the hue of the time of day to the character's UI, the lighting was as close as possible to the show. I was the only lighter, so organization, lighting setup, and communication with other artists took center stage.

Havok (In House)
This project was my kickoff into the gaming industry, and I became the only lighter working on it. This franchise had limited lighting due to limited software technology, but this all changed when Saints Row the 3rd came on the scene.
The value I contributed was new and improved lighting tool updates, multiple exterior and interior lighting passes, organization of the lighting workflow, research and development of lighting tech, and cross-communication between artists.

3D Animation Film
This Disney animated film was my doorway into lighting both a short film and Tangled. As an intern with little skills, I helped the film tell a visual story of a classic. This was my first time working in the entertainment industry, and learning was the value I brought to this film. I learned, grew, and connected with my craft and the people within the studio.
